The Tilke Hill W.i.P. Award

The Tilke Hill W.i.P. Award supports the completion of a Western New York made Work in Progress (WNY W.i.P.) with a $1,500 award. The award supports short film and episodic media makers creating narrative work that is avant-garde and fearless in its approach.

The Tilke Hill W.i.P. Award is a memorial grant created in honor of Tilke Hill. It's awarded in her name to strengthen and encourage the efforts of the WNY filmmaking community.

To be considered for this award, applicants must be WNY residents, 18+ years of age.

Submissions for the 2024 Tilke Hill W.i.P. Award are closed and will reopen 1/1/2025. The next deadline is August 27, 2025.

Internships

BIFF offers internships in the summer and fall each year. Students can participate in the internship for course credits through their university or independently. Internships focus on festival Programming, Marketing, Production and Festival Production.
